What do they look like now?
Same old shaved-headed monkey with fabulous glasses and a quiet smile, although nowadays it's more of a worried line as he stares at the latest crime scene. A little taller with an athletic build (gotta keep it up for the sake of fashion!), and dresses like a fashion plate now that he doesn't have to be in his uniform all the time.
Their current job: Crime Scene Investigator for Tokyo Police. Worked his way up from secretary (his job after high school), tugged in by his fascination with people and the mysteries surrounding human interaction.
Current family they may be living with (if any. It's okay if they're living alone): Living alone at the complex

History: Koharu's history is Yuuji's history. They met for tennis and were joined at the hip, Koharu's love for his partner growing nothing but deeper with time. It grew so deep, in fact, that when Yuuji spoke suddenly of moving overseas, it gave Koharu an enormous wrenching pain in his gut...What? They didn't share the same outlook on the future? Perhaps it was surprise and nothing more that drove Koharu to the painful decision to break up, or perhaps it was the realization that if they stayed together, Koharu would keep Yuuji from growing... The most horrible year of Koharu's life happened after they broke up. The day after they broke up, he got Yuuji's name tattooed right over his pubic hair, vowing to never screw another guy again.
He was rejected to all of the universities he applied to. He couldn't find a job. Broke and living off his parents' kindness, he finally got a job as a secretary at the Tokyo police. His love of people kept him interested in the job, and finally tugged him toward finishing his degree in criminal law and applying for (and accepting) a position for investigator at the Tokyo Police.
He's a rookie now, and finally decided to move out of his mom's house. A certain apartment complex looked cheap...

Koharu looked left, looked right, and slid his way into the back of the meeting. He was yawning a little, hiding his gaping mouth in his sleeve. Stupid late night movies. It wasn't his fault that Breakfast at Tiffany's was showing at midnight...
His boss looked at him a bit sarcastically. "Out at GAY clubs again, Konjiki?"
"Of course," Koharu said, stretching elaborately. "Had to satisfy the thronging crowd of fans, of course." He had a reputation to uphold as the office's only openly gay man, of course. It was imperative to make everyone think that his sex life was swinging instead of, well, completely celibate. Nobody would turn gay if they thought it sucked, right?
